About Bonnie Bairn
Our mission is to provide premium Pregnancy & Family fairs across Scotland, sharing everything that is wonderful about raising a family in Scotland. Our fairs are full of the best local experts, activity providers and creative businesses supporting families from pregnancy to preschool.
Pregnancy is such a wonderful time and should be celebrated. The early years of parenthood can often be overwhelming and with so many amazing classes and support groups available it can be a little daunting to know which ones to go with. Bonnie Bairn fairs are designed to be an excellent opportunity for you to meet the people behind the businesses, trial the classes and engage in some informative talks.
Many of our retailers are local crafters, selling beautiful products, that are often only available online. Bonnie Bairn fairs allow you to see these products and their quality in person before purchasing. You might even find a hidden gem.
In March 2020, we held our most ambitious fair to date with over 80 exhibitors this is set to be the largest pregnancy & family in Scotland! We are looking forward to when we can return to the Edinburgh Corn Exchange and host our next big fair.
Hi, I'm Deby, founder of Bonnie Bairn, and a work-at-home mum to three young daughters. I have years of experience in event organising behind me, both in the corporate and hospitality industry.
During my maternity leave with my first daughter back in 2014, whilst based in Sussex, I decided to become a work-at-home mum and joined a national franchise company as an events consultant, assisting new franchisees in starting up their business and growing existing territories to reach their full potential.
It was in moving back to Scotland in 2016, I felt that Central Scotland was lacking in premium fairs that support new & expecting parents and allow related creative artists & businesses to share makes, talent and network effectively with their target market, and Bonnie Bairn was created.
Bonnie Bairn's 'Launch' fair took place on the outskirts of Falkirk in March 2017 and welcomed 43 exhibitors and over 300 local families. Since then the fair has flourished to new levels in our new base in the centre of Edinburgh. We have grown our community of artists & creative practitioners, increased the activity sessions, incorporated additional creative spaces. Bonnie Bairn has made a wonderful space for creative practitioners to connect with each other and share their talents with local families.
